We at DEUSA GOLD donate 10% of our profit to the incredible Organisation 'Arquitetura na periferia'. They - lead by brazilian female architects - initiated the organisation which is building houses and transferes knowledge from women to women. They plan, teach and construct individual homes together with the later beneficiants, less fortunate women, in brazilian suburbs.

Why do we support 'Arquitetura na periferia'?

...because we want to give something back. To the country from which we source our unique pieces of golden grass.

...because we saw with our own eyes how the situation looks in the suburbs and under which precarious conditions the major amount of people has to live in their neighborhoods (Favelas).

...because we want to support the poorest and thats mainly brazilian mums with their kids. Many of them are single-mums. Building houses was traditionally the work of men, therefore women lack of knowledge. Additionally, many young mums which are on their own, do not have time, nor money, to build a house as they are fully absorbed mastering their psychologically challenging life.

...because a stable home supports not only mums but also their kids. The positive influence on the further development of the family and the children is a simple but extremely valuable further positive aspect of the support by Arquitetura na periferia.

...and finally, we believe in empowerment: through the support of 'Arquitetura na periferia', women gain more self-confidence and strength - in addition to effectively building houses. This gives them more confidence in other situations in their lives.
